Who runs this newsletter?
The Blog for Engineering Managers is written by Stephane Moreau (me). I am a Senior Engineering Manager with over a decade of experience leading engineering teams in high-growth companies.
I am currently working at Zopa Bank as an Engineering Manager leading three teams responsible for AI and Open Banking.
Previously, I have:
Managed teams of up to 20 people at companies like Mimecast, Egress (a KnoweBe4 company), Ably, and IG.
Played crucial roles in tech startups like Voxygen and Nexmo, contributing to their successful acquisitions.
I started my career following an unconventional path, dropping out of uni, moving to London with no connections, and getting a software engineering role only three years before transitioning to management.
